About Me

Where to start…..

A forty-something (only recently) New Zealander living in Brisbane since 1998 with my wife (originally English but with the Australian operation complete), daughter (English/Australian) and son (100% Ocker).

Why the Name?

A long, long time ago…when PCs were young (and I was younger), I played Quake on a LAN with friends. My nick was “kiwi” (original huh?). Being of somewhat average ability and reflexes I was constantly being rail-gunned. “He’s deadmeat” said one, “No”, spake someone else..”he’s kiwimeat” and there you are. Disappointing huh?

Work

IT is my third attempt at a career (Army, Personnel “HR” is a PC name) and after almost 20 years I’m a bit of a jack of all trades these days.
I’ve worked for S-Central (formerly Clariti) - in their Brisbane office since March 2004 which is a record since I began contracting back in 1998. These days I’m primarily a Technical Project Manager, BA, or trouble-shooter. I’m currently (for the last two years+) on assignment at a Global Mining & Resources company working on Operations for their ERP Project.
